    I read that the sulfa in Plaquenil is different from those in antibiotics and most people with Lupus have an allergy to Sulfa but can take Plaquenil without any problems. I can say, however, that I have not had any cross allergic reaction to other drugs sometimes associated with sulfa allergies.   7. I can't take sulfa drugs so I haven't researched Azulfidene as much as the others, but it seems to be somewhat less commonly used in this community than Plaquenil and Methotrexate. I was started on Plaquenil two months ago and have had zero side effects beyond the very first dose.

    hello hope everyone is welljust a quick question, i have been on methotrexate for 2 months increasing from 7.5 to 15 and now to 25mg.weekly now been given plaquenil 400mg daily, has anyone else been on this mixture and has it worked or how long should i wait to see if it works.i'm not expecting it to work over night but soon hopefullyi am still in so much pain everyday and hoping for some relieve soon.
